I bought this product from Amazon because of how great they are to work with, if there's a problem. My 'beef' isn't with Amazon, its with Triplenet, from whom I purchased the Microsoft Office Home & Student. I have a new laptop and needed to download this software. I CAREFULLY entered the correct website, following the instructions, entered the keycode, and was directed to a page to call a number, which I did. The man on the phone said he'd need to 'capture my computer' to find out why the program didn't download and install. Nope, nope, nope. I know better than that, so I told him, "I'm not comfortable with that' and hung up. He called me back, I said, No, I won't let you capture my computer.I called Amazon, they contacted Triplenet, who emailed me. I described the issue, and a couple days later, their email said I needed to contact Microsoft about the issue, and they could't receive the package because it had been opened. WELL, HELLO, of course I opened it, so I could use it!My husband did some searching online and found that the Microsoft program, Office Home and Student has had many such issues, with the website connecting folks to spam sites...the exact issue I had, but Microsoft is doing nothing to mitigate this problem. We called our son, head of IT with a large company, and he went directly to the Microsoft, plugged in the website, used the keycode, and was able to download and install the program safely.Why didn't I call my son in the first place? I've had no problems in the past safely downloading and installing programs. So, I have the program, its working, but fair warning.....DO NOT buy and install this program apart from going directly to Microsoft, do not buy this program from Triplenet. Also, the program is now $30 cheaper through other sellers. JUST DON'T download without going directly to Microsoft.

Now, my personal email address is tied to this old, work email address from 10 years ago and I can't sign into Microsoft to download the Office license I paid for from Office Depot, because I can't remember a password from 10 years ago. The only tech help they have are bots or live individuals you have to sign into to talk to. I can't sign in, so they won't help me. This is awful. Now my product key is worthless. Don't buy it. Microsoft does not stand behind their products or help you when your account is screwed up. Run away.

I got a new PC, did the free 30 day trail of Windows 365 while I was waiting for this. When I got it I entered the key and now that the 30 free is up I am unable to use the products and product key I bought does not work since I already entered it. I contacted Microsoft who says it's not their issue, that I have to contact who I purchased the key from. I would like help with this. I can not use Excel to do my homework and only half of the items on Word, which really hurts in writing papers for class.

Amazon is an evil corrupt corporation that has lost my business for life. In 2017 I purchased a computer, a warranty for that computer, and a copy of Microsoft office 2016 for my husband. The computer constantly crashed and was sent to Asurion 3 separate time to be “fixed” but was sent back with exactly the same issues. The last time, Asurian wiped the computer completely and sent it back to us with absolutely no drivers or original software. While dealing with this nightmare we tried to re-install our copy of Microsoft office only to be told the product key was invalid. We called Microsoft who told us that they had disabled the product key due to it being fraudulently sold multiple times by amazon. They also told us that, as the seller, it was amazon’s responsibility to issue us a new product key. I spoke to 4 offshore agents, steadily going up the chain as each agent could not help me. The third offered a refund but was going to charge me a $20 restocking fee! For a product key! Not to mention that the price of office has tripled in the last few years and we would never be able to buy a new copy for that price. I asked for the 4th and final “supervisor” who was definitely the worst. Tanasha, from Jamaica, told me that because it was outside their 30 day return window they would not refund me anything and could not replace it. she essentially told me to piss off. The lesson here is that if you absolutely MUST shop at Amazon make sure not to buy ANYTHING that you need to function for more than 30 days!

The KeyCode is invalid according to Office.com/Setup. Thought I was getting the actual installation disks for a standalone version. Nope, all I got was a card directing me to MS and a KeyCode receipt, that was so old looking they had to write in the thecode by hand!

Doesn't have MS Outlook. Unbelievable it wouldn't have that with the student and Home version. Those are two places that people use email, so couldn't believe it when I installed both copies onto my computers, only to find out I wasted $350, as I then had to purchase an older version of Office that has Word, Excel, and Outlook.

This new office works only online! When I am at the log cabin or any other spot where I don't have internet connection I can not write! This is also a scam, because they didn't stated anywhere that this is only an online version. Also because this is online version, there is always possibility of intruders access to my texts.
